I bring you the world’s fastest, simplest, and healthiest pizza recipe! I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve made this after a night out fumbling around my pots and pans or even as a quick snack in between study sessions. And guess what?? It only requires 1 pan and 1 bowl!!! You’ll literally only have 3 dishes to wash after you whip up this bad boy – unless you choose to eat your pizza from the pan directly (I ain’t judgin’). I just have one tiny disclaimer…I don’t measure my ingredients. I’m more of an eye-baller which explains why the thickness of my pizza crust varies every time. Anyway, you’ll figure out what appeases your taste buds!
Lo and behold… I bring you the magical pizza recipe! It’s so simple you can do it in your sleep! You can do it if you’ve never even cooked a day in your life! Or if you’re my boyfriend who has only cooked 1 day in his life.
- Garbanzo flour
- Sea Salt
- Rosemary (dried)
- Thyme (dried)
- Parsley (dried)
- Basil (dried)
- Garlic powder
- Marinara or any red sauce of your choosing
- Cheese (I used vegan cheese)
- Toppings – you choose! Try to keep it simple and light (weight-wise) as the crust is somewhat fragile
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix your dry ingredients together. Again, I don’t measure anything but if I had to guess I would say about 1.5 cups of garbanzo flour. Mix in your dried herbs. Now add a little bit of water enough to create a thin, easily pour-able consistency. Mix it all around. This will be your batter for your pizza crust.
Heat up a small sized oven-safe skillet. ~~Now, channel your inner crepe making skills.~~ Pour your batter over the skillet like you’re about to make a pancake or crepe. Unlike a pancake, you want the batter to fill up the skillet… so really you’re making a crepe. Let it brown over medium heat for a few minutes. It’s OK if it burns a little. Flip it and repeat.
Voila! Crust is done.
Leave your crust on the skillet and pour your sauce on your crust. Spread the sauce around and leave about an inch from the edge. Go easy on the amount of sauce as this will weigh down your pizza. Add your cheese and light toppings. Pop it in the oven (the whole skillet) for 10 minutes or to the crispiness of your liking.
Extract from oven. Take a massive bite. And enjoy.
